PASAN Commends Gov. Oborevwori, Speaker Guwor, Others For Commitment To Workers’ Welfare

    The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Delta State Council has commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his uncommon commitment to workers’ welfare, insisting that he remains a true leader with a soft spot for workers in the State, particularly the parliamentary staff.

    The workers took the decision to specially commend and appreciate the Governor for approving for them, the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS) during their monthly Congress, which held on Wednesday 11th June, 2025, at the Assembly complex in Asaba.

    In a Communique signed and issued by the Congress Chairman, Comrade Timi Richard Appah and the Congress Secretary, Comrade Mavis Emebradu respectively, the Association equally passed an implicit and very authoritative confidence vote in the Governor, thereby declaring their support and cooperation for the MORE Agenda.

    Also, the Union appreciated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi Dennis and the leadership of the House, for their purposeful, people-oriented and progressive Legislative direction.

    In the same breath, members of PASAN acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Chairman, House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Sunny Ebireri as well as recognizing the pivotal role of the Clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia as the Head of the Legislative Bureaucracy.

    However, in specific terms, the Union members passed an implicit and resounding confidence vote in their Chairman, Comrade Timi Richard Appah and his Executive, for their unprecedented performance, strategic direction and dedication to the collective cause of the Association, which is geared towards workers’ welfare and accountability.

    In a nutshell, while pledging to continue to uphold their unwavering commitment to peace and industrial harmony, the Union also reaffirmed its support and cooperation to the government of the day towards the collective pursuit for the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda.
