Chief Uchenna Okafor, the Director General of Motorcycles and Tricycles, Association, has commended Delta State Executive Governor, His Excellency, Rt.Hon.Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, for his outstanding performance since his inauguration as Governor of Delta State two years ago.
Chief Okafor told the National President of the Federated Union of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, Dr. Dan Dike Awana with his colleagues who paid him a courtesy visit in his Asaba office recently.
Speaking during an interactive session with the publishers, Chief Okafor told them that Governor Oborevwori is an exceptional governor since Delta State was created.
He remarked that Deltans have not experienced such unprecedented development level of projects scattered all over the state, simultaneously, completed and on going ones at same time and rate.
According to the Director General, the Governor Oborevwori administration has redefined governance in Delta State, earning recognition as a champion of democracy in Nigeria.
He noted that the governor’s record as an impactful lawmaker and longest serving Speaker of the State House of a Assembly, laid the foundation for his success story as the State Chief Executive.
As a Speaker, Governor Oborevwori demonstrated exceptional leadership which gave us confidence on his ability to lead the state effectively.
He said, he was happy with the progress, the state has witnessed under Oborevwori’s administration in the past two years. He noticed that the governor embarked on the construction of key infrastructural project including the Ibusa/ Okpanam road Warri effurun flyover bridge, Ayakoromo bridge.
With over 500 road projects, spanning more than 1,300 kilometers and 950 kilometers of drains, some of which had been completed to his credit. Chief Okafor was full of praise for the action governor prudent management of resources in the state, which made it possible for him in the state to deliver on his social contract with the people and urged him to remain steadfast in Implementing the M.O.R.E agenda of his administration.
He asked and pray to God Almighty to continue to give the governor more wisdom, understanding, good health, long life and strength to pilot the affairs of Delta State to greater heights.
