An award ceremony has been organized by the Delta State Head of Service, Dr. (Mrs) Mininim Oseji @Minim Oseji , in honor of Golf Players at the Ibori Golf and Country Club in Asaba.
Recall that the Civil Service Week Golf Tournament was held in the early hours of today, July 3rd, 2025 at the Club and was well attended by top government functionaries and other Civil Servants in the state.
The Head of Service who sponsored the tournament and also a corporate member of the Club expressed delight in the manner in which the players conducted themselves even as she encouraged Civil Servant Golfers to sensitize others on the benefits to be derived from playing golf. She hoped that the number of Civil Servant Golfers would increase in the years ahead.
Commending the management and members of the Club for granting Civil Servants the opportunity to use their space, Dr Oseji expressed satisfaction for the successful conclusion of the Golf Tournament, adding that,” it has been a wonderful and fascinating experience.
She congratulated all who participated in the kitty and especially those who won for displaying the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Some seven Guest Players and six Civil Servant Golfers were presented with cash awards.
They include Professor Ifo Amata, Honourable Gabriel Okpunor, Mrs Florence Ofili and Mrs Ruth Orioko Awah.
